I haven’t been enjoying it there lately. A week before deleting the app from my phone I had been tossing up what to do and I think a little break will be good.
If you are just not feeling it on Instagram either then I encourage you to take a break too!
Instagram can get pretty draining when I'm not being mindful of how I'm using it. It's been about 8 months since I've had my last break. I took a month off April 2018 and around October 2017 for the same reasons as I'm taking a break now.
I'm back into the habit of unlocking my phone without thinking, clicking on Instagram and having a scroll. Instead of doing things I should be doing or need to do I'll spend excess time on Instagram, endlessly scrolling, saying to myself "one more minute" over and over. It's funny because even though I was spending a lot of time doing this, I just wasn't enjoying it... the addiction is real. I need to break this habit and the best way to do so is by step away.
I stopped enjoying posting pictures and sharing on there too.
I'm not sure how long I'll be off, at least until the new year. It takes on average, 21 days to break a habit. So far it's been 6 days and I'm still in the "I miss you" phase. I've been through this all before so I know the phases but every time I do this it still just as hard as the first time but it's okay because this break will be good for me.
I'll keep you updated with how I go!
Much love, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ✨ See ya when I see ya 😊
